Technical Support Policy
SSI offers technical support service via email. This service is only available to:
Registered end users holding active rental or paid perpetual licenses
End users with active SSI Live™ Standard, Commercial or Operational subscriptions;
Other users that SSI designates with written confirmation.
Extended SSI Live™Trial licenses offered as an educator benefit to an instructor do not qualify for technical support. Academic site licenses also do not qualify for technical support.
In all cases, please provide the product version number and your software serial number (CD key) or SSI Live™ user license master key, as failure to do so will impact our ability to be of assistance. The
screenshot below indicates how you can find your SSI Live™ license key (Sign into your account at
ssilive.com – Click Licenses – Click Manage).
This scope of service applies to problems in using the software (e.g., a program fails to import a data set correctly or crashes without producing output) and does not include statistical consultation (e.g., how one should interpret the coefficients in a table).

Basic Research Definition
This definition of basic research was taken from a NSF white paper:
“Basic research is experiential or theoretical work undertaken primarily to acquire new knowledge of the underlying foundation of phenomena and observable facts, without any particular application or use in view.”

Note:
Currently we offer no native Mac version of any of our programs currently available. However, if you have a dual-boot set-up or a Windows emulator, any of our programs should run without issues as long as your hardware is not using Apple’s proprietary ARM-based chips because of known compatibility issues. Note that we can only provide support for using the software and are unable to provide guidance on setting up a Mac to allow for a program to be usable. Parallels Desktop is the most frequently used of the emulators. VirtualBox is a free alternative from Oracle, but it can be very slow compared to Parallels.
